Today’s paddle was an easy session, so I decided to carry out some experimentation into fuel.
40 minutes before going on the water I had a LARGE bacon roll, followed by a black pudding roll and a can of fizzy pop.
5 minutes into the session I realised that this wasn’t the best thing to have in my belly whilst either lying down on my board or doubled over in the kneeling position.
Not sure what the issue was, but think I have the solution. Next time I’m going to miss out the can of fizzy pop, and replace it with a lorne sausage roll instead. I think that should nail it.
