The previous night I spoke at the Islay High School fundraising dinner, which was a superb evening.  Then on the Sunday morning a group of us, (Stephen, Karen, and Heather), joined Rhona and I for a wee paddle in the sea loch.  Wonderful people, and Rhona assures me, wonderful scenery!
The sea training in Oban the following 2 days didn’t quite go to plan due to gale force winds and heavy snow.  However, Patrick did get his pound of flesh from me in the gym, before beasting me in the pool.  (I’m still aching 2 days later.)  And we did get to practise our rescue/towing system on the Tuesday when the wind had dropped down to a much more reasonable 15-18mph!
