Lake Drużno, Poland

After a recent wrist injury started playing up, we decided to swap the planned 80km training paddle for an easy 15k one at Lake Drużno, near Elblag.

Milena and Jedrzej, ,(Swiat z Kajaka), had been keen to check this route out for a while.

With Piotr and I on SUPs, and the other 2 in their kayaks, we hit the water. Starting off in very high reeds, we made our way out onto a cleared channel, where, apart from 2 large boats which passed every 90 minutes, (oh yes, and the million or so birds), we had the place to ourselves.

It was a stunning location, which I’m sure will become a firm favourite for any of their clients who enjoy wildlife.
