Loch Lomond, Scotland

[featured-video-plus]Wet, windy, wild, and lumpy, are just some of the nick-names of those present!
Old friends and new all met up for a challenging wee paddle from Luss to Balmaha, and back again.
Starting off in the shelter of the islands, we were doing fine, but every so often we’d have to make a dash across the windswept open sections, and that’s when things became lumpy and challenging. Add rain into the mix, and nobody was dry by the time we reached the café in Balmaha.
The return trip was just as exciting, and I have to admit to taking 2 swims.
I was also really impressed with my wonderful Rhona, who paddled a fairly skinny, (26” wide) board in the lumpiest water she has ever paddled in.
As always, it was great to see Allistair & Alison again, as well as our first catch up with Ian (SUP Eccose), in 2 years, and making a new paddling friend Niall.
