Loch Tay
September 2016
Out for another paddle with Piotr from Outdoor Explore. Unlike last time, this was our first proper training session. We’re hoping to do some long distance paddling together next year, Piotr in his kayak and me on my SUP.
So today we hit Loch Tay for a single length. The weather wasn’t great, starting off with fog and an 18mph crosswind, (occasionally gusting at just over 30mph). Fortunately this later cleared, but then came the rain. Hey ho, it’s Autumn in Scotland, so what do you expect!
We did the 23km paddle in 3 hours and 23 minutes, (including around 10 minutes of breaks). Hopefully we’ll be able to knock another 10-15 minutes off that over the coming months.
Great day out, thanks Piotr!
