Loch Tummel

November 2015

Who’d have thunk it, stripped to the waist, (top half that is), in November in Scotland.
At the start of the paddle, the water was actually warmer than the air temperature, and I was on the edge of being very cold.  But 15 minutes later and the sun had crept over the hills and into view, forcing me to remove my Palm Mistral cag.  15 minutes after that the Itunda rash vest was also off, leaving me to paddle for the next two and half hours in just my Kaituna Capri trousers and Atan boots.  Winter sun in Scotland, you can’t beat it!
A total of 19km was covered in that 3 hour paddle.  Unfortunately, not what I was hoping for.  If I’m going to be successful in my big paddles for next year, I’m going to have to pull my finger out.
MUST DO BETTER!!
