Loch Tummel, Scotland

April 2017

Inspired by Joanne Hamilton-Vale’s awesome 24 hour, record-breaking 179.9km paddle, (see short video HERE), a few days ago, I decided to push myself harder today on Loch Tummel.
The conditions were almost perfect, with the predicted 10-12mph winds only showing themselves for 20 minutes towards the end, as a headwind.  (The rest of the time the wind was no more than 2-3mph!)
The inspiration obviously worked, as I knocked another 5 minutes off my PB, bringing it down to 2 hours and 35 minutes for the 20km circuit.
