As we set up our boards, the wind picked up and the snow began to fall. By the time we hit the water I was lying on a layer of snow and the conditions were getting wild. 20 minutes later things started to calm down, and by the end of our session, we were sweltering in the near tropical heat. (OK, 4 degrees isn’t strictly “tropical”, but it’s all relative!)
Today I also tried out my new Rip Curl Flashbomb 5mm gloves. Wow, very toasty! If you’re into winter proning, you’ll struggle to get anything better! Thanks to Steve Nordstrum for the heads-up on these.
