Prone – Clunie Loch, Scotland

Back on ice patrol, crashing through and over the ice at the shaded edge of the loch, before entering the glorious sunshine. At one side of the loch it was almost too hot to paddle, (8 degrees is hot when you’re working hard and dressed for Winter), and then back over at the other side dodging sheets of ice, (not always successfully).
Still glad I was on the water and not swimming in it, unlike friends Mel, Lyn & Mike who I met on my first circuit swimming in the sunshine. (Water temp still below 4 degrees.) Rhona had a quick dip in the shaded side. Brave or daft?
