SUP 11-City Tour – Dokkum to Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands

[featured-video-plus]After my eyes had recovered from the non-stop event, along with Jo, we paddled the 5th day of the SUP 11- City tour. This section was run as a time trial. The paddlers were to be set off at 1 minute intervals.
The organisers agreed to let Jo and I go first. There was a very low bridge, which could only be passed under by lying on our boards. (This would take longer for us to pass under, as Jo had to give me instructions on how and when to paddle.) As soon as we were through, the next paddler would start.
We started first, and I’m very happy to say that we were the first cross the finish line, with a very respectable time of 3 hours and 52 
minutes for the 29.2km paddle.
